Star Search 2024’s top 20 will attend masterclasses by celebrities like Guo Liang and Dennis Chew

Mediacorp’s talent discovery programme Star Search is set to make its highly-anticipated comeback this October after a five-year absence. In the lead-up to Star Search 2024’s first episode on Oct 20, Mediacorp has announced that the competition’s top 20 contestants will undergo a series of masterclasses by various celebrities and industry experts from August to September.
The journey kicks off with an intensive workshop on expression and communication by popular artistes Guo Liang and Dennis Chew. Contestants will learn to command the stage with confidence through diction, projection and more.
Actress-model Sheila Sim and celebrity photographer Ade Lau will then conduct a workshop on stage presence and body movement. Here, contestants will learn how to perfect their body language for the camera.
Joining them as guest instructors are fashion designer Frederick Lee, celebrity stylist Jeremy Tan and makeup artist Peter Khor, who will share their expertise in making a powerful visual statement.
Finally, the contestants of Star Search 2024 will unlock the secrets of acting under the mentorship of acclaimed executive producer Loh Woon Woon and theatre director Nelson Chia. They will dive into character analysis and sharpen their skills in physical storytelling techniques.
Star Search 2024 will air as a five-episode series, every Sunday from Oct 20. The live finale will be held on Nov 24.
